26+ Essential Oil Felt Ornament Tips

Do you like the scent of essential oils but cannot figure out how to dispurse them easily in them smelly areas around the home?

Here you go, enjoy the post!

Take any felt ornament you love and use them with essential oils around the home, car, garage and wherever else you would like too!

1) Christmas boxes or centerpieces, any of the evergreen scented or outdoorsy scents work great here.
2) On the tree, use felt ornaments scented with any of the Christmas oils.

3) In the office, off lights. Use uplifting essential oils. If in a place of massage or chiropractors office use calming oils. Frankincense, Myrrh, Thieves, Orange, Peace and Calming mixed with Peppermint and others.

4) In the car, under the seat, back of the car or somewhere in the front. Not sure if you can hang them from mirrors anymore. Use uplifting essential oils like Peppermint, Orange, Lemon, Joy, Believe, Brain Power, Fir, Grapefruit, 3 Wise Men, Transformation, Wintergreen, Sacred Mountain, Ravansara, Spruce and more!

5) In your purse like frankincense, Joy, Abundance,  Peace and Calming, Joy, Progessence Plus, Lavender and others . Attach to key rings also.
6) In the diaper bag. Thieves, Gentle Baby,  Lavender or any gentle essential oils would be good here.

7) In your suitcase, especially when coming home with the dirty bag. 😉 Theives, Orange, Purification, Peppermint, Bergamot, Cedarwood and others.
8) Storage containers and areas. Use the same as suitcases.

9) By the garage door;  Purification, Thieves, Bergamot, Lavender, Cedarwood,
10) In the basement in a bad area, like musty. Thieves is great for this one.
11) Closets, depending on room will depend on scent. Could be more manly, womenly or neither.

12) Drawers. Lavender, valor, rose blended ones along with any woodsy ones.

13) Attach to magnet and put on refrigerator. Any favorite ones, even the oils like for baking or cooking.

14) Shoes, put one in each, use the persons initials for their first name. Add a cache of baking soda in the middle of ornament, or sprinkle inside shoe first then add the drop of oil on felt and insert overnight. Here I would use Purification or Theives again.

15) By the pet area but do not make it so strong. Thieves or Purification, also any calming oils for a stressed out pet like lavender, frankincense or fruity scents.

16) Entryways by front doors.

17) In storage with off season clothing/items. Purification is great here!

18) Cleaning supply area.
19) Vents.
20) Hanging from a ceiling fan pulley/cord.

21) Have one on the dryer or in with clothes. Be careful to have a cotton insert so it doesn’t directly touch the clean clothes and stain.
22) Throw in washer with  dirty clothes, add in a chunk of cotton or a 1/4 cup of baking soda and put inside of pocket, with essential oils on it. One drop will usually do just fine.

23) Hang by dirty clothes.  Thieves or Purification again. Common theme with bad scents.
24) So, many uses…even for children in bed with them.
26)  Spray or drop their favorite scent on the ornaments. Be creative and try blends.

As you can see…so many things you can do to scent naturally without additives, simple yet creative. If you are like me, have a friend who sews, whip them out and enjoy!

Minnesota Sue leaving you to another day of blogging with Young Living Essential Oils. Leaving you to scent the air around you.

P.S. If you want to scent them differently, hand wash with baking soda and vinegar mixed in warm water. Let sit for a minute or two, then swish around, sit for another minute or two. Rinse well and hang to dry. Or simply throw in the wash with other clothes, sprinkled liberally with baking soda, so the scent will wash out.

P.P.S. Be careful with essential oils in overly warm areas and near fire.
